$100,000 Summer Colony Stakes Draws Field of Six
Tiz So Sweet has been tabbed as the morning line favorite at odds of 9-5 for trainer Bill Mott. A four-year-old daughter of Tiznow bred and owned by Kinsman Farm, she has won three of her five starts and will be stepping back up to stakes competition after winning an optional claiming race at Saratoga last time out in her first start off of a thirteen-month layoff. She was fifth in the Acorn Stakes (G1) in her stakes as a sophomore. Junior Alvarado will be in the irons and they will break from the inside post.
Catch My Drift aiming for first stakes win
Second choice at 2-1 on the morning line is Catch My Drift for trainer Chad Brown. A four-year-old daughter of Pioneerof the Nile, she has been on the board in five of her eight starts and is a three-time winner. She is trying to earn the first black-type victory of her career and has gone winless since scoring in an optional claiming race last September. She was second in an optional claiming race last time out and will have Irad Ortiz, Jr. aboard from post three.
Montana Native a competitive veteran
Also in the field at morning line odds of 7-2 is Montana Native for trainer Christophe Clement. A five-year-old daughter of Yes It’s True that fetched a $330,000 price tag in 2013, she is a five time career winner and is a multiple stakes winner. Winless from three starts this year, she was last seen finishing third in the Lady’s Secret Stakes at Monmouth Park. Joel Rosario will be aboard and they are scheduled to break from post position four.
