Donworth Taking on Eight Rivals in $100,000 Sir Barton Stakes
Graham Motion will saddle the lightly-raced Donworth as the morning line favorite at odds of 2-1. A dark bay son of Tiznow, he broke his maiden as the favorite in his career debut at Gulfstream Park. He took on stakes company as the favorite in the Lexington Stakes (G3) in his next start and finished second behind Preakness (G1) contender Divining Rod. Joel Rosario will remain aboard and they are scheduled to break from post position six.
Fame and Power getting blinkers back on
Second choice at 5-2 on the morning line is Fame and Power for trainer Bob Baffert. A dark bay son of First Defence owned by Juddmonte Farm, the dark bay colt will get an equipment change and wear blinkers again after not competing with them in his last three starts. He has been on the board in four of his six starts and has been training forwardly since his last race, a third-place finish in the Lexington (G3). Martin Garcia will be aboard from the rail.
Conquest Bigluck E trying for first stakes score
Also in the field at morning line odds of 12-1 is Conquest Bigluck E for trainer Mark Casse. A chestnut son of Lookin at Lucky, he has won two of his three starts and will be switching back to conventional dirt after a third-place finish in the Woodstock Stakes over Woodbine’s synthetic main track. He will be trying to earn the first stakes win of his career and will have Julian Leparoux in the irons for the first time from the outside post.
