The Grade 3 $125,000 Colonel E.R. Bradley Handicap January 17 at Fair Grounds is one of five stakes races on the card, and the first leg of an all-stakes pick four. 
The stakes action at Gulfstream Park on Saturday continues with the $100,000 Florida Sunshine Millions Turf. The mile and a sixteenth contest has drawn a field of ten colts and geldings, all bred in Florida, Maryland, New York or Pennsylvania. 
On Saturday at Aqueduct, the featured race is the 42nd edition of the $100,000 Busanda Stakes. Restricted to three-year-old fillies, the mile and seventy yard contest has drawn a field of six. 
Friday, January 9 marks opening day at Oaklawn Park as the track prepares to launch the most lucrative stakes schedule in its history with significant purse increases to some of its marquee races. 
On Thursday, Aqueduct will kick off New Year’s Day with the $100,000 Affectionately Stakes. The mile and a sixteenth contest has drawn a field of seven fillies and mares with two coupled entries. 
The $100,000 Grade 3 Robert J Frankel Stakes features a field of 12 fillies and mares set to contest the mile and one eighth event on the turf course Saturday, December 27 at Santa Anita. 
On Friday at Santa Anita, the featured race is the 63rd running of the $300,000 Malibu Stakes. The Grade 1 race, restricted to three-year-olds and run at seven-furlongs, has drawn a field of ten. 
On Saturday at Gulfstream Park, the track will host the 40th running of the $75,000 Tropical Park Derby. Scheduled to be run at a mile and a sixteenth on the turf, the race has drawn a full field of fourteen three-year-old colts and geldings with two additional listed as also-eligible.
